Joseph D Mocanu, PhD, MBA
Dr. Joseph Mocanu is an experienced management consultant with Oliver Wyman’s Health and Life Sciences practice, advising leaders in global healthcare companies in a variety of capacities ranging from portfolio strategy and market access to R&D productivity. Prior to this, Joseph co-founded a medical device company involved in real-time brain imaging and has 3 patents pending. In addition, he is currently a technical advisor for DM Capital, and has been involved with a number of local startups over the years. Joseph holds a doctorate degree in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
V. Viswanath , M , Pharm
Vaidyanathan Viswanath (Vishy) has over 25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Vishy has wide ranging experience in sales, marketing, business development & strategic planning functions in the pharmaceutical industry in Asia.
Starting his career in Sales with Serum Institute of India in 1985 at Chennai, India, he rapidly grew through line functions to leadership positions in sales. He then joined Astra IDL - India as the Product Manager for the Maternal Health Care Products. In 1993, he joined Pharmacia - India and for the next 8 years had diverse experience in handling Licensees for Strategic Business Development, Training & Marketing Services. In Nov 2001 he was promoted and transferred to Pharmacia - China as Marketing Director and was responsible for delivering top tier returns, working at the Head-quarters of the China operations in Shanghai.
Upon completion of the global acquisition of Pharmacia by Pfizer in April 2003, he assumed the position of Director - Business Development & Strategic Planning for Pfizer - China. In May 2011, he returned back to China to take up a 1-year assignment to develop the international business for a progressive, publicly listed Chinese company - Gloria Pharmaceuticals - based in Beijing. Vishy serves on NovoTek’s advisory board since 2012.
